I'm wondering about the keihin 41mm flatslide carb that is on that link you gave.
I have a 2003 fe 400 and I've been reading lots of posts about issues with Delorto carbs. D'you think the Kehin is a worthwhile mod (I don't know if a 41mm is the right thing or not)?
Any coments anyone?

i would say the 39mm would suit the 400 , the 41 is too big .

my 400 is tuned right up and i barely noticed any difference with the leap from 39 to 41. you'll pay a hell-of-a-premium for a 41 as they are rare and everyone thinks that that is what they need.
my tip would be to get a 39 or, as your bike is standard, a 37. there are now loads of them around and they're cheap!

ebay is good. they make decent money but at least it's done and dusted. you can be looking everywhere to save a fiver. they say a flat slidee is worth 1mm more than a round so the 37mm is equal to your 38 dell orto.
best thing you could buy is a 53 cam that is for sale in the very ebay lead i gave you! it's in the UK but they will send. there are others with a '53' etc but that is a good start. wants £75 for a brand new cam but i would haggle!
read the doc for what it does and for links to threads from the days when we were excited enough to get excited....

Just to put our customers minds at ease we do have some Husaberg goodies on e-bay and have a few more bits of OLD stock to get rid of but because of NEW Husaberg stock arriving, not for any other reason.
We still intend to sell and ride Husaberg bikes (Unofficialy ofcoarse!!!)

When could you come? Can you bring the carb with you and set the jetting while yer at it? I'm sure my shim stacks need tweaking too.
