Hi all,
I've got my Vapor running perfectly, and after receiving my billet protector from HDB I'm now on to installing the Trail Tech Dashboard. Has anyone else done this on a 2012 390 or equivalent, and if so, any hints on how you wired it up? Here is the cabling I have figured out so far from inspection and the manual:
High Beam - Brown & Blue
Fuel Low - Brown/Red & Yellow Blue
Turn Signal - Purple and Black
Fuel Injection - White and Orange
Wiring for the Trail Tech Dash can be seen here:
http://gallery.trailtech.net/media/instructions/barclamps/010-ELV-20.pdf
So the Trail Tech only uses 2 negative wires, not 4 as per the stock lamps, as they share a common negative across 2 lamps.
So I've got 2 questions:
1. Which of the stock cables are negative, and which are positive?
2. Why would the TT need 2 separate negatives, can I use the same source for both?
I've looked at the Husaberg manual and honestly I get confused on what is a negative cable and what is a positive. I wish they would just have a simple drawing showing all the negatives running back to the battery so it was easier for simple people like myself to understand
As always, thanks for your help!
