Hi all,

Im in the UK with a £4k budget and have been looking for a KTM EXC of some sort for a few weeks for dual-sport / light Green-laning duties and generally pretty slo-paced off-road fun :- )

And ive stumbled across this by accident.: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121146360237?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

.....which at that price look "too good to be true" ! Ive read a few reviews, and whilst not cutting edge technology - (Apart from fuel pump issues ?) the reviews are all really good.

Something im missing ????

Looks about right to me. They couldn't give these things away in 2008 due to the new generation bikes coming along the following year, £3999 i thing they were selling for so if they've only lost £1600 in 4-5 years then im pleased to say mine was a good investment. Equivalent KTM will have lost double that
Who knows keep it in that condition and it might be worth more one day.

Superb. Thanks.

And how hard will spares be to get in the future do you think....especially with the Huserberg / Husky merger taking place soon ?

Buying a bargain is one thing, not being able to utilise that; quite another !

You can get parts for 1970s bikes so i reckon berg parts will still be around for a good few years.

Buy it and enjoy it, stuff the future, no-one can see into it. They might start making bergs again in 2016

Oh bugger :(

Youve got a good budget though, bound to be a few more bargains out there. But you gotta be quick :bounce:
