has anybody ever fitted there bike with Ti bolts? Ive been thinking about it, but so far have only found one source, which is TekBolt. im only looking at doing the body bolts and some other things like the triple clamp bolts, axle pinch bolts, dampener mounts and things like that. so far it would cost me $282 for what i want. im just wondering if there are any other sources.

The way i look at it is, I weigh 320 pounds. So subtracting .5 pounds from the bike aint worth the money to me. I have never done it. I also consider it to be a bling item. No offense. Some places I can see were they may be nessecery though. More power to you though.

I would think in Dave's quest, weight savings was secondary to strength, Justin.

thanks,
json

well, i want to do it purely for the "bling". i am in the same boat, when you weigh over 300, I can take a crap and get rid of more weight than some titanium bolts. but when you have a berg, there arent many trick parts available, so you have to get creative.

So true, not that many parts.. Do it!!! It will be sweet! As for sources i cant help you there. Try a place that supplies bolts. You could probly get them for chep to.

I'd need a 5 gallon bucket and a fire house! I'm not gay. Just take really large shizas dew to shiza activitys. Just felt the need to point out that I am not gay.

Justin:
Its a good thing that you did not say you are not gay a third time. Forum rules dictate that if you say you are not gay three times in a row then you are. At that point your logon information will be redirected immediately to the Unofficial Gay Husaberg Enthusiasts Site and there you must remain!

Hey Dave,
Try checking out www.vulcanium.com I buy titanium
fastners and anodize racks from them. I allways buy sae but they
may offer metric. Could be much cheaper.

Good luck Phil
