I need to ask a favor,

I am doing some engine maintainance on my 07 Fe550. I am replacing the cam chain and need a rivet tool to install a new one. My closest dealer is 4 hours away and told me he won't lend his out.
Does anyone have a suitable tool I could borrow? Of course I'll pay shipping and return it asap in pristine condition.
Or perhaps point me in a direction to buy one for a reasonable price?

thanks for any help,
Aaron.

Point taken Taffy.

Please clarify for this fledgling mechanic the difference between a rivet link, and a split link. I understand what the c-clip link is. Is the split link similar to a split link on a drive chain? Is a "soft link" a rivet link?

Where does one buy a split link?

Split link as you say, soft link is indeed a rivet link. Tell me, what;s a limey

we're still on rations since the war you know, so we we still fit corona bottles :D

IF you decide to go w/ a rivet link chain, Pitposse sells a rivet tool that is similar to the motion pro tool. http://www.pitposse.com/pochcurito.html

I bought this one off of ebay - tool link. Again, this is similar to the motion pro tool. I've used it on both my rivet drive chains, and my cam chain...
