Been here a couple of years and have developed a love for these swedish machines. I've only ever rode in supermoto trim on the road but nothing I've riden has come close to giving me as much fun through thye twisty Worcestershire and Shropshire B roads.
I've completed 2 rebuilds within this time and have enjoyed the learning experience, very simple engines once you know your way around them.
Unfortunately it let go again on Tuesday night whilst shifting from 5th to 6th at considerable speed on a bend, luckily my left hand was quick on the clutch and saved the back end before it went too far and high sided me a 100mph. I haven't torn it down yet but I'm sure it's not going to be pretty, coolant and oil is spread about every where.
So, the bike is going to be broken for parts, pretty standard, supermoto wheels with super sticky Michelin Pilot one's, beringer 4 pot plus big disc and a Doma full race system think it's titanium as it weighs next to nothing. Everthing else will be sold off too if anyones interested.
I've gone back to sports bikes and bought a TL1000R, bit left field but not as much as the Berg.
Cheers to you all as you have helped me through some taxing queries, especially Taffy, a mine of info. Will pop in from time to time to say hello.
Regards Trevor.
