After the 24hr dirt rider test we took a look at valves so they could

ride the bike without any issues,To our delight valves were spot on!

Thats with a little over 26hr's & 580mi of heavy throttle setting's!

They sure have come a long way! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I have 27 hours on my 06 Fe450e as just average joe weekend trail rider. The Bike feels like it will be bullet proof and last for many many weekends with only the simple maintenance. I'm still tickled how easy it kick starts......left side kick and with an easy 51 yr old left leg kick it starts first kick every time...........amazing.

Bob, I was able to witness the famed BOSS hand start method. Quite impressive, second 'swing' out of the crate and a 450 was running. Nice work BOSS!!!

ya know, what about a Kick start only version in 2007? Seriously. Since husaberg has the proven first kick, hot or cold, technology why not create the beyound LIGHTEST off road enduro masterpiece around. A kick start only Fe as a buyers option? the weight would be like what 12 lbs less, maybe 240 ready to ride.

I wouldn't buy it, I know many who would, because I am a little too old to be stuck in a bad situation and have to hold my bike up and kick it, I need E start for the trail convienence when I screw up and stall or crash and need instant push button to save my azz.

sorry don't mean to hijick the thread. just a thought- A kick only version option.

"Tickled" as indeed you should be.

I believe in credit where credit is due.
"Congratulations on a job well done".

Sincerely,
Dale

Dale, Sir, thank you from all of us!

I think just knowing there is someone as knowlegeable as you, who

races through this site with an eye on us all, made me & the rest of

the team try very hard! What a plesure it is to have quality people

like Josh Barrett , Brett Saunders, fryberger,Watt, & yourself who hold

such high standards! It makes me & i'm sure others hold our heads

High! What a great year this is shaping up to be!

I see a hint of pipe rub on that muffler, not as much as my 06 Fe450e had but it's there.

24hr DR 2006 Fe550e up close after the ride

my bike also has a front fender rub on the chassis. The top of the back of the front fender rubs as you turn the bike and the wheel/fender come thru the mid point nicking the black frame in front of the motor, wore the paint off there and scraped the fender.

Shims( nylon spacers) and longer bolts solved the muffler rub, double washers on top the rear two bolts forced the rear part of the front fender lower and solved my fender chassis rub. small potatoes really, no big deal, but still some 2006 rubs do exist that need attention.

BOSS,

Mega congrats on the success!!! It's great to see our brand doing well amongst the myriad of bikes available.

Would you please explain one thing though. This was a qualifying event?? I thought this was THE event. Are we "qualified"? Who did and/or didn't make it?

Confused as usual,

Parsko

:? Yes parsko me too.

We did qualifie to the qualifier so i hope we qualifie.

hope this helps.

:D Hey parsko, & all just got word the test bike passed with flying

colors!!! should make for some good reading!
