Indeed, highly recommended, doesn't matter if the product is $100 or $20, gotta wear some kind of armor on key impact zones to mitigate injuries.

I wear the Sixsixone knee guards under my jeans during short rides around town. They're comfortable and they have already saved my knees from a major hurting during a low speed dump on the wet Muni train tracks here in town. My jeans were shreaded around the knees but my knees were untouched. :)

handy dandy shortened link

I had never heard of Bohn actually, just saw a little ad in the last AMA magazine (pretty much all I get from my membership, that and 10% at Bike Bandit).

This one is apparently also designed for the road, I like the idea of the reflective piping. And it looks nice too.

that looks like quality body armour , i have joe rocket armour it is not as good as the above , but it has saved me from damage .

I was going to give the first link Frog provided the big thumbs down, but as I read on I saw that it includes a "handy inside pocket."

Now that is awesome

But seriously, looks good if it breathes as well as they say.

Wear something similar by Dainese (itilian) quality kit and it works, i have put it through some tuff testing :? er crashing.

Bill :D

My mate has this and I have a rip off copy of it.
Mine is the best money i have ever spent. It has saved me a few injuries like collar bone etc. Makes getting up after a get off much eaisier.
I know all you PRO RIDERS like you guys dont fall off, but i have a tendancy to kiss the ground every now and again.

I highly recommend the safety item below.
