Well it looks as though ol Sete Gibernau has called it a career. I came to not like him very much over the last few seasons, watching him ride not only dirty but, dangerous as well. It came to bite him pretty hard this year when he tried to shove his team mate over to the wall and instead ended up having Capirossi's seat some how apply Sete's front brake full at about 150 mph, this incident caused many to fall and be injured, especially his team mate who had to be air lited out with injuries to his chest and lungs. And one has to wonder what chance Loris would have had at the world championship had this not happed. This of course sent all the presses' tongues wagging tallking of hand guards and such to prevent such incidents, but that tallk, as well as Mr. Gibernau have now faded away.

After his final falling out with Vale @ Qatar last year or the year before, Rossi claimed that "as long as I am still in a given race, Sete will never win another" or something to that effect. There was also talk from the announcers of a Gypsy curse that Vale had conjured up to keep that from happening. Either way, Sete never won another race. And so Sete, I bid you good riddance, may you and all of your punk ass excuses and theatrics have a great life together.

I know that sounds harsh but in my opinion there is no place for a rider who practices such poor sportsmanshiip in racing at all, let alone the pinnacle of road racing.

Yeah there is, in World Superbike with Max "The Roman Emperor" Biaggi! Between the two of 'em they should be able to snag a Kleenex sponsorship........ :violin:
