of waiting around for my riding buddies to get there crap together. I am going riding alone tomorrow. Yes I know, breaking my own rule, but what a shame it is to leave the bike parked and all alone...

going to Miami Trails just above Oakhurst, CA going damn early so as to beat the crowds.. will post pics if I stop to take them...

we have something in common , i will be out alone as well .

me and my trusty GPS .

do you ever try posting rides in the CA ride forum at Thumpertalk? That's how I find bunches of riders. There are some Fresno area riders on that site.

I hate to say it, but I do the same, alot. All my old riding buddy /racer dudes are in someway broke (marriage, money, body/bones, or will to have a life). I find decent riding partners surprisingly often, and often have a lot of fun watching the exhuberance of newer, but fast riders.

I know a few guy's that will be riding March 8-11  Get your act together Jared, you have a few months to get ready

I also ride alone from time to time. I let someone know where I'll be and give them a call when I get back. Especially this time of year I'll take some extra food, fire starter and even a small tent as I don't get cell phone service where I ride and want to be prepared for an overnight in the rain.

Be safe Jared!

I ride alone most of the time . I ride everyday and 6 out of 7 I'm alone . I push the bike on occasion , I ride hurt often and if I get seriously injured I'm food for the animals because no one would find me .
In saying this please note this is not a good or suggested practice . Just no body wants to ride with me . :pale:

They're just jealous of your bike!

I never thought of that . Maybe I start out with riding companions but soon after we get going my bike is so much faster and better handling than theirs that I'm so far ahead it seems like i am riding alone !

Now that was worth it!. Miami Trails, Oakhurst , CA about 1 hour from my house. 60 miles of (wider) singletrack and fire road. Much more unmarked according to a local. He stated that you can ride all the way into Yosemite valley from where i was at. I got there at about 7 a.m. and had the entire place to myself all morning, until 11:00 when another person showed up.

some action shots.... well sort of.. it's hard to capture when your riding alone...

I have a minute so i will tell you how fun it is to lose your wallet becaus eyou did not zip up the pocket you put it in and discoverd it missing about two hours into the ride.... I back-tracked for awhile but then decided it was pointless because i had been everywhere and since it was my first time at this place i had no idea where i was at or where i was going.... and it could have been anywhere, with leaves all over the ground and rocks and ruts .. well who knows... but wait.... there it was on the ground about fifty yards from the trailer.

The rest of the days was awesome, no dust cause i was the only one there, no body waiting and no waiting on someone else.

tight twisties, wider trails and fast fire road. I will be back....
