Ok.. I'm on the case again.
Having read many posts on this subject, I decided to try for myself wiring a 2nd battery in series with my existing one, having connected it only to the starter-motor supply.
Wow! It spins like mad and starts instantly.
It's got me thinking ....
It must be revolutions and not battery power that necessary in my case.
Many times i've stuck my car battery over the battery via jump leads and its turning ok, but still wont start - yes maybe my starter-motor is a bit worn. Maybe my sprag clutch bearings need replacing. Maybe my decomp isn't 100% - but we've all tried them before....
6 V Starter-motor !
No need to alter electrics. It will spin twice as fast !
Sounds logical to me.
