I would like to this oppurtunity to pass on a great big thank you to Dezduster(Mike Roroman) of Las Vegas. I have been able to spend a few weeks in Los Vegas with my work and Mike was kind enough to extend an offer to go riding with him and Paul. I was kaan to do this and so set about organising this to happen.

On the day i met mike and paul they picked me up from my motel and we set off. We headed out to a riding area called Apex. This terrain was something totaly different to what i had ever seen before. No vegetaion at all and very open. Mike gave me a lend of a great bike with a fresh engine. It was a great day of rididng that covered a lot of ground. I have to say mike for a senior you still can get along when you need to. I was very cautios and slow as i was here on military work and could not afford to break myself or you bike, but ihad a ball.

Anytime you are in Aus drop a line and we can return the favour.

wish i could be here for moab but work stops that

Thanks again Mike and Paul it was a fantastic treat.

Says alot for the Husaberg enthusiast.

One bloke travels accross the world, stays in a (somewhat ) strangers house & has a fat time blasting around on his (fresh ) spare 'berg. Yamaha riders dont do that !

Good onya fella's. Maybe someone downunder can return the favour at Louree riding park next easter ('08) when we all gather for our first annual homage !!?? ( not confirmed but wishfull thinking !) :D

Squizz,
Tuts and I were pleased to make your acquaintance and I was happy to have someone break-in my FX600's newly rebuilt engine.

If your riding was an example of "cautious and slow" then I need something stronger than my 650. You guys were throwing huge roost and maintained a nice strong pace.

Glad you enjoyed the diversion and I will take you up on the offer to reciprocate if I ever make it Down Under.

You are now an honorary Las Vegas Desert Rat.

when i get bac to Aus i will get my wife to teach me how to post pics again. I would love to have new 650 like yours but the minister or war and finance (wie) has already said NO WAY, this means i may have to tweak the little 450 some more. I think the first thing may be that throttle u use on the 650, it was great, nice and progressive at the start and ready to open flat out towards the the end. What type was it it where did u get it from.

They don't call him Dezduster for nothing! 8) I've seen him in action and can only imagine how fast he was back in his racing days. Very cool you got to meet Dez and tuts for a day of riding.

Aw shucks..

I must say that I had a great time riding with squizz. He took to our rocky terrain like a veteran desert racer. Barely 5 minutes into the ride and he was already pounding through 2 ft deep whoop sections, slamming over uphill rock ledges, and bombing down the steepest hills. I got dusted!

The G2 throttle cam system is not magical/mystical, but for those of us who lack finesse it is a saving grace. If you know that you will be riding in technical terrain (like Moab) just install the slow throttle cam ( a 2 min job) and now you have the first half of throttle pull that is very slow, provides maximum control, and won't give you a heart attack if you pull too hard.
3 cams for slow, medium, and fast. neat stuff.

Now if I could just lose 40lbs and 20 years...
