i run a fe 650 04, i have purchased an 05 slipper block and i know that i have to take the end off the cam chain tensioner. does anybody know what length the tensioner should be after the modification . measurement taken with the rod fully extended.

i don't understand the problem?

fit the new stirrup, fit the modified tensioner, turn engine over once or twice going backwards and forwards a bit, undo the centre bolt and remove spring, unbolt tensioner and pull unit out again.

now count how many of the serated teeth you have used up. pull tensioner forwards and out to see how many teeth you have left.

regards
