after a hard days riding i seem to have a lot of cramp/tension in my neck i ride with a light helmet'airoh', so is it possible that it's down to the set up of my bike i'm just wondering if anyone else suffers from the same complaint i dont seem to ache anywhere else and im not really suffering from to much arm pump!!

I have/had that same problem. I finally figured out to raise my visor as high as I could and that helped with having to lift my head so much. But, I stand a lot when I ride.

As far as bike set up.............. not knowing how tall you are or what bike you're riding, and how much you stand.........

You could try some bar risers to keep your body a tad more upright when you're riding.

johny hi I've have had and still suffer a bit, get a good chiropractor drink plenty of water and keep your head up hope this works, oh yeh i've tried those neck supports the go kart guys use with minimum sucess .........colin

Johny,
Its cos you have the new berg and keep looking round to see where the others are :D .
Seriously though, its a new bike, so the riding position will be different.
Even a slight difference affects the muscles.
Your body will adjust after a few rides.

had an awesome day on me new 450 fe it's just like a trials bike this is by far the best bike ive ever had and ive had a new one every year since 98 it walks all over my 08 exc 450 and i think your right about the riding position

I too get a saw neck and shoulders in the shoulderblade area. Even when i am riding alot through the season i still get it. I think it may be related to my backpack and its weight of 12 to 15 Kilograms. I do ride alot of whooped out sections. I wish i didn't get the sawness after riding. Anyone have any fixes??
