i recently sold my wr426f and kept the motored wheels i bought for it . they are takasago excel 17'' . I contacted the company and they are telling me there isn't a bearing and spacer kit to fit them to my 2010 fe450 . please help me figure this out . what bearings , spacers and axles might or would fit inside the hubs to adapt so i can have fun on the streets ? thanks

Rough outline.
Use your existing axles if you can.
Measure axle od. hub id, there are your bearing sizes. Check with your local bearing supplier to see if you can buy what you have measured.

Measure FE hub width and compare with 426 hub width and calculate difference to see if you need to change spacers and by how much (or fit the wheels centered and measure bearing to fork/swingarm clearance. that gives your spacer width.

Crack out the lathe, drill, grinder or local engineer to make the spacers.

Off the shelf? take your measurments to the local breakers and rummage through their spacer box.

You'll also need to measure and make sure the hub (or sprocket to rotor) is the same width so the chain and rotor line up. If it doesn't work, finding KTM/Husaberg hubs is easy, just lace to those.

I did find this on another site......

Update to report. Turns out, despite Talon dealer saying it can't be done, it can be done.

Front fix - utilized a 20mm older KTM axle and it went in and on without a hitch.

rear wheel mount - fix was call Talon and tell them i damaged the axle tube (in the yamaha was 22mm ID) which on my KTM was 20mm ID. Tube was 32 bucks. I ordered new spacers and bearings at the same time which was another 60 bucks. I spent more in shipping than in parts. The pieces went together like they were hand in glove.

So don't let Talon tell you their hubs from bike brand to bike brand are not interchangeable. If you're willing to spend $150 or so to get the right axle tube, or find the right size axle, it can be done. Happy to report and i hope the helps someone win the future.
