Hi there, has anyone had much success in lowering the seat hight for those that are not too tall. I have modified the suspension to lower it 30mm on some bikes, but believe it seems to never really work that well. I notice in the forum the pictures of the frame modification to lower the seat. Was this for supermoto or was it a general approach to lowering the seat hight. Those bikes where the suspension has been lowered have reported they can do single trach very quickly with only a 30mm lowering?

without checking i think you mean 'the doc' and the article there. both our bikes are for enduro/green laning.

it does help for mounting and dismounting as well as paddling up a slope and tredding out of ruts etc.

you can let the forks up through the yokes and that'll help. you can even remove preload off the suspension and it'll all help make the bike sink.

i have gone up three spring codes on the front and 3 on the rear, i have a very tall seat yet i have less trouble now than when i started.

the really odd thing is that the paddock stand won't go under the frame and engine now whereas it did when i had massive amounts of preload. now would you have believed that before i started?: that a heavier spring with no preload would sit lower than a soft spring with a lot of preload....?

wacky isn't it?

regards
