Taffmeisters - new stuff - now in!

I've had a great week till last night, had been flat, no work then the last week, great! loads of work, parking fine dropped. and then Mum died last night.... see something always brings you back to earth.

Now I just wanted to mention a few things that I have made happen:
first of all-Valves
we have just had two bulk orders of 30mm exhausts and 29mm exhausts.

30mm exhaust valves
these are extra long for the 2001-2003 engines, the 470, 501, 550 and 644 (650).I promise, these will be cheaper than OEM!

Don't use the 2004-2008 30mm exhaust because it is 1mm+ too short. there is only one turn of thread left with the nut only on the adjustment screw by 1 TURN! the STEM tips have been stellite hardened and they are one piece valves too! so no heads to fall off now OK?

we've had a 450 in this week with £1,650 of work all due to a VALVE HEAD FALLING OFF!

29mm exhaust valves
I had these done specifically for the Husaberg 400s. the stems are stellite hardened.

the 1996-2000 400s have 31/27 and could do with both being bigger but I did them most of all for the FE400e 2001-2003. the bigger exhaust valve gives a really good boost in power EVERYWHERE!

All you have to do is ask a motor engineer to cut the valve seats from the 27s to the 29s and most importantly: request a 3-angle cut. they will then take a lot of seat and port out and the difference in power is discernable!

37mm inlets
we have a fresh batch of these after the first batch weren't hard enough at the stem. the new ones are stellite hardened and should now be spot on! If you have had one of the original batch then please swop them in FOC. OK?
They are gas flow tested for me and a 20% flow improvement was attained at low openings. the OEMs are 90gbp each so we hope to be about 1/2 that!

35mm inlet
these are gas-flow tested (as above) for me, they also have a waisted stem, spiraled grooving and a nice thin seat, this on top of the flow testing! but I have also made them 1.5mm longer than the 2004-2008 (all models) which makes them perfect for the 2001-2003 FE501e and the 2001-2003 FE400e.

we've had five of each made! 119mm and centres with a 30mm big end and 20mm little end. not a lot else to say really? separate little end bush and ummmmm well yep...

while I'm here, I want to have some 350/400 rod kits made with what we believe are 125mm centres. anyone want them and want to double check that dimension?

this is the combination of a rod from another bike and a stepped pin. the stepped pin is 32/34/32. this is ready to go.

starter motors for all electric start Husabergs 1995-2000. we have the stronger Denso starter suitable for this model in stock now. took some tracking down I'll tell thee!

we have left hand switch gear for all 2001-2008 bikes, you know: kill, horn, lights.

we have decal sets for the 1995-1999 models in stock.

we're looking for two more pledges for the rad strouds for the 2000-2005 models. TWO....any colour!

here is the impellor we machined down to 50mm and 44mm so now we can cover the 1989-1996 = 44mm
and the 1997-2000 = 50mm

just to tell you new stuff in this week

we now have:
1) oil filler bungs and a flat rubber washer for the 1989-2003s!!!!!
these are in blue or black and priced at 17.50gbp (plus in the EU)

2) we do the right nhand switchgear recently requested by two people for the 2004-2008s. you know the one: a red kill button over a black starter button!

3) we now do a dell orto throttle with the starter button IN the throttle housing and not seperate like the 1995-2003. so if you have a worn out throttle, want the "Hi/Lo" feature and the starter button - we now have it.

4) we now have the first tests of the 44mm Keihin carb ready to go ahead but I can't find a suitable situation!

5) waterpump impellors for the 1996-2000 (50mm)

6) we think we do a gasket for all Husabergs now, nothing is missing.

7) a proper 120d long reach plug cap for the 2009-2012s


we are waiting for:
our first 102mm liners and packers to make my 700 husabergs.

Taffy I am about to split the case on my 94 FE350 and I will measure the big end and let you know on the size. Con Rod replacement would be a great addition,

I have a 91 FE350 and would happily buy a conrod off you to have as a spare if you do get them made.

I think that the shrouds, tank decals and side panels should fit all the way back to 89.

They came out with a small tank in 97 on the MX (FC) models so the right side tank decal will be too long on that one but could probably be cut to fit nicely.

The fenders are shaped somewhat different as you go back in time but a little heat should help mold them.

I have found a man in the USA with a container load of parts for Husabergs and they are all pre 1997. a container load! now i just have to be nice to him!!!!

as for the con rods
we have sold just 2/10 600 rods and 1/10 501 rods and i'm NOT best pleased.

we even had a septic tank buy one which we incorrectly supplied then went to corillo instead. no loyalty---nothing!
