Today, I finally did what I knew I would do (also confirmed why I hate woods and love the desert). Rounded a corner where there is usually a fast bowl'd section- A month of rain turned it into a nice pond. Looked no more than 2 feet deep. Hit in 3rd tapped and saw the front fender go under then the bars went under... She sucked water soon after. Turns out the section was 4.5 feet deep. Pushed her out. Pulled the filter- air box and intake had ~4 cups of water in it. The rest of the water went in the jug or straight down the crank breather.
Bike locked hard on the compression stroke
End result-
Drained 2+ liters of goo out of the case.
Pulled plug and bumped the water out
Cleaned the plug and she right fired up.
I'm now on the 4th oil+filter change in as many hours- starting to look like oil again.
