Just bough a plated 06 fe450e in Los Angeles CA. was wondering if they came from factory plated and street legal or if it was converted. and maybe how I can tell, the title has the plate number and all. just didn't want to get any problems from the dmv. any information would be appreciated

If it's truly an FE (enduro) and not a factory FS (supermoto), then it's almost certain to have been converted. If I remember correctly, no dirt bike (enduro) after 2003 could be converted for street use so the previous owner had to pull some strings to get it done. Check the VIN number. If it's got a "3" or a "C" in the 8th digit, then you might have problems at the DMV.

I have an '01 FE501 that's street titled in California but the conversion was done in 2003 so everything is legit. I was a happy man the day I got that license plate.
