OK, I'll say it. The early 90's Husaberg 500's were and still are the best all 'round Bergs ever built. I'm restoring mine now. No balancers, no oil pump, no BS. The stators lasted, they were light, and had that inimitable style. A little valvetrain upgrade and they were very dependable. And I'm talking round-slide all the way. Long live the sloshbuckets.

Sounds good Corey!
Does this mean you'll be parking your 07 sxf and taking your 92 fe500 to the track?

On the right tracks: absolutely, and for most all other scrambles and crosscountry. Also, I'll let other 450 07 owners rack up the hours and find all the defects and fixes so I won't have to do it myself. The FE will likely be destroked to 450, though. BTW, as I've stated before, the 90 FE frame geometry handles great for MX. Getting your weight forward with the big tank and all is difficult, but not impossible. The smooth power delivery helps. :) DC A lot of These outdoor MX tracks seem to be drifting toward indoor style jumps and rythym sections, with lots of tight turns. I'll aslo go to a 19" rear next time around. Who knows, just for fun I might slap my 450sxf engine on the old dog and see what happens.

RE: Still the best

yes I found the old motor super reliable when the quality of the parts was good. Still have a brand new sticker kit for a 92 fe 350 sitting on my shelf.

best

Are those stickers of the old blue and white Swedish flag design? That was, in my opinion, the coolest graphics they produced. :)
