Hey guys, I need to replace the steering head bearings on my 99 501. I was wondering if anyone had a bearing number i could bring to the local bearing supply shop.

Standard trailer wheel bearings, super cheap and available almost everywhere

i got the number finally got the bearing off the triple clamp. Now i searched the bearing but there is also a rubber seal that was under the bearing (my bearing kinda came off in pieces) IS that separate from the bearing?

Yes, rubber seal should be another thing, just measure it, inner diam X outer diam X thickness, and order.

There is also a bearing available with the seal built in... it is a better setup in my opinion... I have used both. I will see if I have the part number somewhere... will post it if I can find it... it is a number that any bearing supplier can get.

well i ordered the bearings from a local auto parts store, they should be here tommarow hopefully. The only other thing i had noticed was i think i am missing a spacer ring #15 on the parts list. Anyone know where i can get one? it is the ring that goes under the first steering head nut.
