Hi

I would like to know yours opinions in one strange (to me) problem that I have.
In one FX470-01, every time I go to a technical and very steep downhill, were you have to go very slow or even stop, the engine of the bike dies.
Because I know this will hapen, I've tryed to go in neutral and rev the bike a bit, but even like that, the engine dies.
After I get out of the downhill (with the engine off) I start it and everything is ok ???

Any ideas ?
Thanks

Hej.
The float chamber level is my best guess, adjust it.
Had the same problem with one of my bikes.

Hi Jampe

I've adjusted it was my first thought, but I should check it again. In your opinion this can be too low or too high level ?
Another thought do you think the valve can be ruined and it closes but doesn't close.

Thanks for your thoughts

Could it be excess oil from the breather, collecting in the airbox then the steep downhill let's it run into the carb?

Hej.
I guess it`s to low, how does it behave with full throttle on higher gears for a 100-300m?
If the valve is broken you would smell and see the gasoline from the carb hoses.

Hi

Jampe I don,t have problems in top revs, ie I don't run out of gas. But I should recheck the level.

Idle, very good point, never thought of that, and that bike always has oil on the frame. That's the good thing of having several heads and experiences here

Thanks for the ideas.
