The 2001 Husaberg parts list lists the stator as being 01- onwards. Is this stator still compatible for previous years? In particular 2000?

Hi Simon,
To the very best of my knowledge the 01 stator will readily replace that of the 2K.

In the model year 2000, only the motocross (FC) had the dual stage ingition switch. It seems this would have an effect on the stator compatability between 2000 and 2001.

i have replaced my stator on 470fc 2002 with the same part numbered stator i replaced on a 1999 400 i cant tell any power difference and it starts the same the husaberg guy only sells two stators the early crank case mounted part and one that mounts too the ignition cover
 
Replacement stator

The stators and rotors since 99 untill 03 are compatible
