got a 2003 fc550.its been running great all summer.starts one or two kicks hot or cold.i brought it back home from where i ride and gave it a good clean.i started it up after the wash and it ran perfect.i left it a couple of days then went to start it and this is where the problems started
the bike started on choke as normal but cut out as soon as choke was turned off.this progressed to not starting at all.i thought it was a petrol related problem so have been chasing that way for last 2 days.saw a spark at the plug yesterday but not today so i checked the stator [black to red black to green] and figures were fine so checked all other connections to plug.eventually swopped the stator off my fs650 and it started first kick.have swopped back and to and it is the stator even though readings ok.the stator has only lasted about 20 to 25 hrs at the most.at 200 quid a pop this cant be normal or is it?
