Sometimes my engine (501 / 03) stalls when opening the throttle from low revs. When the revs are a little bit higher there is no hesitation at all. This is fairly new, I never changed anything on the carb settings; simply because I had no reason to do so. What do you guy's recon? It always starts, cold or warm, on the first push of the magic button, and the ride is still fantastic with loads of power!

What carb? Dellorto or FCR? that would help as each suffers from their own quirks.

what is your pilot jet dutch?

i used to get over it by raising the needle by a clip.if it has suddenly happened then this is a good way to get over it.

have you ever strobed your ignition timing with the new mark?

Taffy

Hmmmmm, seems like I have something to do this weekend... Yes it could be a worn needle and needle jet, my bike has about 14000 km's on it without any change on the carb. I'll have a good look at that.
@ Taffy, I'll have a look at the height of the needle, and no; I didn't strobe anything.

Thanks for the input, I'll give a report on Monday!

Have a great weekend!
