Right so it looks like I need a new starter sprague but I have been Reading about a mod for it, what does this involve or do I just need a new sprague? If so has anyone got the part number, price and where I can get them?

Am I also right in thinking I just need to remove the clutch and then the sprague should come out, is there a guide to replacing it?

If anyone can help with any of the questions that would b great.

Read the Owners Doc available from the main menu...it will get you going, then ask questions from there.....It is not a real chore to get to the sprague......So is your starter spinning thru?

I have read that but doesn't really say how to remove it etc.

Am I better to replace it? Dont really understand the mod

I think in the shop manual it tells how to remove it.Not a big deal really. I do not understand the mod either. I am looking for a replacement for mine.

it was about $45 from KTM parts if I recall.check my postings about sprague.I should have mentioned the details and part# in one of my postings.

Just ordered one from DCR in uk for £10, it's a 2nd hand one but should b upto the job as I am wanting to get rid of my bike, just need to find out about the auto decomp as I think that has been put in wrong by the mechanic and also check all the kick start as that has never worked since I had someone do some work on it!
