spokes question

Hey all,

I am looking into lacing my stock hubs to Excel rims for a motard conversion, but I am having a hard time locating spokes for the berg.

Does anyone know of a company that sells the spokes and nipples for the conversion.

Are the sponsor adds on this site reliable for Berg parts purchases, I am new to this Husaberg thing, I love the bike , but there are no dealers in the St. Louis Missouri area, so my purchases will have to be done on-line.

I do need to make a few OEM parts purchases and I do want to support the site sponsors, I just dont want to get taken by an on-line purchase.

Any info whould be of great help here.

Aftermarket parts for the Husaberg, does anyone have a link to online catalogs or sites, I have done google searches and end up mostly with Jap aftermarket items.

Hello John,

i'm not sure about exact places over your side of the pond but the guys advertising on here have the necessary pedigree to be able to sell Husaberg stuff, that's for sure.

I know of one place in the US that is well known by the classic racers for spokes:

Buchanan's Spokes

Apparently they also provide a pretty good wheel building service.

One word of advice, if you're going for a 5" rear rim, make sure you get them laced with heavy duty spokes. I had a problem where we used the original spokes from a 4.25" rear rim and they just kept on snapping under the strains from backing in to corners.
