That funny little race track at the bottom of the
I believe 04 speedo's can have the wheel diameter changed by the abuser. (from 17-21 or vica versa)
I cant find any reference to this in my manual.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how to do this please?
Then I can keep using my original speedo when I fit my motard wheels.

This is how you do it on the 2009/2010 speedos. Not sure if the 2004 is the same but it might work.

Disconnect the unit from the bikes battery.
Hold down the right (mode) button to get to setup mode. You have to be hours on the main screen to be able to toggle over to setup.

Once in setup, keep pressing the mode button until WS is blinking.
Press + key
Then use the '-' button (lower one) to decrement the WS to whatever you want.

Aye.... I think your onto something here..... wont work when internal flattery is batt tho, and trying with external battery connected it just goes into power reset mode. I think it tries to drop to internal power for wheel size adjustment.
I will score a nu internal batt in the morn an try again.
Shall keep you posted......... Thank you for your help Mr Polaris (Timed to his m8's?)

on the old speedos you need to disconnect the brown wire

when you say old speedo's do you mean the ones with no buttons like mine?

Well its been awhile, I have tried every combination of power resets and button pushing but cannot get to the WS parameters. In program mode all other parameters are there for the changeing but not the wheel size. When I purchased the bike the seller said he had to change speedo's to suit the 21inch front (used to be 17) so maybe this speedo is not changable........ but the fact that the WS shows up on powerup tends to make me think I am just not using the correct methode.
Anyone else got any more ideas?
