I have an 09 FE450 US model
Here is the scenario. When the bike starts, speedo turns on, everything works fine. If I turn the bike off (hit the kill switch) the odometer shuts down. It also resets all the current data, trip mileage, clock etc. Hours and total mileage are retained.
It seems the speedo only gets power when the bike is running, which means all the functions are pretty much useless if they go back to zero everytime you stop. Also, the unit shuts down if the bike is running and the wheel is not turning in a few seconds
Has anyone figured out a way to wire it so it works correctly?
I have an enduro on the weekend and was hoping to use some of the features.
