Firstly hello all.
I am new to the forum and to Husabergs, having just purchased an 05 FS650, and absolutely loving it!
I am a toolmaker by trade, and would love to hear from people regarding special tools that I can make to make servicing the Berg easier. I work at Holden's Elizabeth plant in Adelaide, South Australia.
I would love it if someone could post dimensions and designs etc, but thats just me being a tight ***, but hey, if you could make something at work and get paid while doing it rather than buy it you would right?? :D
I will be replacing my cam chain soon, and will make a link breaker from dimensions i get off the new chain when i recieve it, and will post these on here as soon as possible.

I know theres a market out there for the main bearing inner race tool at a reasonable price.

Beauty is it will also fit RFS KTMs.....make a batch up and put them on E-bay.

Welcome HusaBen,

did you pick up that FS650 from down Marion way? - there was one on the market down there recently, it looked sweet!

Whynot make some axle pullers, or maybe some cnc milled pillion pegs, other than that, theres not much that a Berg needs!

Azza.

the only speccial tool of note is the flywheel piller. you can get the thread from checking your own flywheel BUT REMEMBER THAT IT'S A LEFT-HAND THREAD!!!!!!

another tool worth looking at is one that extracts the pins from the roccker arms in the head. you can see the two black plastic supports in the RHS of the head.

some people might appreciate you making a vernier holder to go into the plug hole etc.

this is all stuff i've had made in the uk and found invaluable.

oh and one mre. a sleeve for the waterpump post when replacing the sidecover!

regards

Taffy
