..... change the frame whilst keeping the light weight and fine handling qualities.
purely want this as they are starting to look dated compared to the comp.
semi-perimeter steel frame i'd be happy with.

efi or carb. don't care as long as they go well and start 1st time by either method.

slimmer tank. (i live in uk. bigger tank not an issue.)

slimmer rad, required if tank is slimmer.

single header pipe. twos a pain to clean tidy.

bring back the 501.

bring back the force edition models, now and again. they were something to lust after, exclusivity of them.

hold onto the good riders and blow the comp away.

employ david knight! Linked to above.

give us free set sm wheels.

this is not a serious thread so wish away. but keep it clean!

hey bob, from what I remember, in almost every post where you give your opinion regarding the husaberg, both here and on TT, you mention at leats the following two things, "smooth electric sewing machine" power delivery and the wide ratio tranny, (to me it sounds) as if you felt strongly that it was a good thing and you like it. or I must have missed comments about the tranny specifically. Is this a change in opinion? or have I been misinterpreting your comments? just wondering...

to but this back on subject, my wish list for the 2008 is the following;

To have one in my garage!

How About Doing Away With The Crazy Colours,Lets Get Back To Yellow And Blue,Not Yellowish Blueish Blackish With Red Bits. NO MORE FLAMES
For That Bling Factor Nice Hard Anodised Blue Alloy Frame,With Linked Suspension On A Nice Polished Alloy Swingarm.
Nice Blue Excels As Standard Like The TM's Have.
Maybe An Adjustable Steering Head Like The WRM Has AND An Adjustable Swingarm Pivot,Just So We Can Have Arguments About Whats The Better Set Up. The Later GSXR750's Had A Simple Affair,Maybe Husaberg Should Do That And Sell Different Links If They Go To Linked Rear End So You Can Raise Or Lower The Rear End And Change The Action From Lineare To Progressive To Digressive.
A Decent Rear Brake Lever Would Be Nice.
Something Like A Vortex So You Can Change The Power Slightly Depending On Conditions,Abit Like The Older Bergs Had.
Every Bike Coming Out The Factory Jetted By Dale And Taffy?
Twin Pipes To Keep The Full On Performance While Keeping Noise To A Min?

The WEC bikes are a good start. Maybe sub the alum tank for an opaque?

Perhaps the FE line could be street legal and electric start. Bring back the FX, not street legal, non electric start w/ six speed - something like TMenduro's WEC bike.

By the way, I think several ask for this about every year when one of these threads pop up :p

Kez: Please stop writing all words with a capital first letter. My head's still recovering!

FYI, the slim alloy tank does not require a slimmer radiator, the ergos are great just by putting on the slimmer tank. If the new force tank (1.7 gal) is the same shape as the alloy and will hold it's shape, people will be very happy with the purchase.

TM

you've misunderstood Kez.

he wants a slimmer tank and if he got it the next thing to be sticking out would be the radiator so he wants a slimmer radiator as well. but only if you get the slimmer tank... ok?

i found the slimmer tank did help slightly but the radiator is a hindrance. i rode three or four times with my slim radiator and tank combine and the riding position is brand new. i've said it before.

the slim tank alone was some help.

anyone know the retail on the new tank when it comes?

regards

Taffy

I don't think that I misunderstood. I have found that the radiator is not a hinderance at all.

as long as they don't make the 550 any closer. it feels just right now.

i personally like the frame. i don't care if it 'looks dated' as long as i can get to the carburetor and stuff easily.

Take out the free trip part, and the rest could be doable, and an appropriate touch for a "specialty" manufacturer.

How hard would it be to install a program such as:

1. No charge swaps to different rate springs
2. A broad selection of bar bends
3. A choice of seat foam/height
4. Sprocket/cs with chain length to suit as requested.

That leaves lots of room for Hard Parts catalog purchases.

I was trying to keep the program economical. However, I find your fantasy trip to be completely realistic and worthy of at least consideration by both Husaberg and the Swedish Bikini Team.

When I bought the 2003 FS I asked the distributer if I could pick the bike up at the factory. No problems as it was only some 10miles away (2003 was the last year to be produced here in Sweden). So me and my pal took the old VW pickup and picked up three brand new FS650's 8)
Kind of cool feeling to wander around all the brand new bikes and just pointing to the one I wanted. Just like a fish restaurant with tanks with live fish in them. However no bikini team, just the head of production who helped us load the bikes (he had a really dirty sweater) :?

How About A Trip To The Factory And A Ride On All The Bikes In Whatever Your Going To Use It For,I.E Dessert For You Dessert Racers,Track For Road Users,SM Track For SM Guys And Tigh Woods For...You Get The Idea,Then When You've Selected What Size You Want....380...450...496...501...550...650...700 Etc Get The Bike Set To Fit You,Bars/Shocks/Forks.
The Force Models Could Be Made To Fit You Like A Glove,Like The WEC Bikes Are.
And To Top It Of Go Out On The Town With the Swedish Volley Ball Team And A Suana With Them In The Morning!
