I have a few Bergs and adding another.

I have run an 09' FE570 all season with much success. No over fueling in the extreme -20 cold and no added fluid level in the oil like the non feed back ( no lambda sensor ) jap bikes.

I just added a 10' FX450 to the snow bike fleet for next season. I chose this bike for the gear ratios which will be better for the tight tree riding we do. I am concerned about it not having a lambda sensor in the exhaust. I think it might over fuel in the cold, being a open loop system? I also am concerned about not having a thermostat to bring the engine to operating temperature. Does anyone know if I can install a thermostat from a FE 570 on a FX450?

Thanks for your help,

No lamda sensor in the USA bikes. System on the Berg/KTM is a non feedback system just like the jap bikes.

Adjustment to the fueling are simply done by taking the air temp entering the airbox and making a fueling adjustment to the fuel table according to the temp is all. The air temp sensor in the airbox is the little white thing that mounts to the outside of the airboot.

Fuel system makes corrections for engine temp, air temp, & maniforld absolute pressure(MAP sensor) - that is all.
