is it normal for my 2005 450e to blow a bit of smoke on start up?
its got 9hrs 323kms on it,
never done this before,

thanks

it's still bedding in. husaberg build quite a tight engine and it'll be mid-season before it's loose. suspension especially can be a pain to get right.

i think you're seeing a little condensation. don't worry about it!

keep an eye on your collant level and your oil level. go for a good ride and monitor the oil level. remember there is a difference between oil level before starting and having had the motor running so get your facts right!

regards

Taffy

YOU WILL THAT SMOKE FOR 40 HOURS AT LIST.DONT WARRY.ITS NORMAL.ALL THE NEW BERGS DO THIS.ITS MATTER OF PISTON RINGS.THEY ARE STIFF IN FIST HOURS OPERATION.CHANGE OIL EVERY 3 HOURS AND THEN AFTER 5 HOURS.IF THE OIL IS THIN ( 5-40 ) YOU WILL SEE MORE SMOKE.BE COOL WITH ENGINE FOR THE FIRST 30 HOURS.DONT REV ON FROM 4500 RPM.DONT LISTEN FOR 2 TANKS FUEL AND THEN OPEN THROTLE.IT WILL BE DAMAGE SOON THE PISTON AND SLEEVE.

Bergo, you seem to know your stuff. Glad you joined.

Now what you need to do is find that "caps lock" key (don't know what it's called in Greek) and push it once ok? :)

I LIKE TO WRIGHT WITH THIS WAY.ITS MY SIGNATURE.WHY YOU STAND IN THIS DETAIL ? IS THAT SO SERIOUS ?

bergoroadracer,
did you receive my email i sent you , i still hope to hear from you regarding the questions i asked you . H-berg

THE CAM CHAIN OF 2004 IS 280 GRAMS AND 2005 IS 262 GRAMS.IT REVS EASIER BUT HAS LITTLE HOURS LIFE.THE HUSABERG OWNERS MANUAL SAYS TO CHANGE CAM AND ROCKER BEARINGS AT 100 HOURS.ESPECIALY THE CAM BEARINGS ARE EXTREMELY DANGER FOR ENGINE LIFE.I CHANGE THEM FOR SAFETY IN 80 HOURS .EVEN AT 80 HOURS I FOUND THEM 2 TIMES WITH NO GOOD CLEARENCES.I USE 10-40 AMSOIL OVER 15 C DEGREES AND 0-40 AMSOIL IN TEMPS DOWN FROM 15 C.I USE STANLESS STELL FILTER FROM READY RACING.I NEVER FOUND A BETTER OIL FROM AMSOIL AND WITH PROOVES.ALL OIL COMPANYS THEY SAYS.....WE HAVE THE BETTER OIL.BUT WHICH OF THEM CAN PROOVE THIS WITH PROOVES ? ONLY AMSOIL.IT STOPS THE SOUND IN ENGINE AND MAKES THE GEARBOX LIKE HONEY.TAKE A TRY AND I BELIEVE YOU NEVER CHANGE AGAIN OIL COMPANY.LOOK IN MY GALLERY ABOUT CAM BEARINGS AND OIL PRODUCTS.I ALSO USE MILITEK1 IN 50 GRAMS IN EVERY QUART TO MAKE IT 1 LITER.ITS A METAL CONDITIONER NOT A OIL TREATMENT.IT GOES DEEP ON THE METAL AND MAKE A POWERFULL SHIELD.THE OIL IS THE MOST SERIOUS STUFF IN A BERG BIKE.MAKE A TRY WITH ALL THESE AND YOU WILL REMEMBER ME.

thank you takis , i will take the information you have supplied and apply it to said berg .- precious , juicy information . :iagree:

ALSO IS GOOD TO USE A TOP OIL LIKE ME.YOU CAN SEE IT IN MY GALLERY .I USE 25ml IN EVERY FULL TANK OF 9 LITERS GAS.LUBRICATES THE HEAD IN PLACES DOES NOT GO THE OIL.VALVES STEMS ETC.YOU CAN SAVE THE VALVES GUIDE FROM BIG CLEARENCES AND STEMS AND THE UP SIDE OF THE VALVES.MY HEAD HAS 500+ HOURS OPERATION WITHOUT REBUILD IN VALVES.MY VALVES ARE TITANIUM. ALL THESE I USE THEM FOR MANY YEARS IN MY AUTO MOTO.I HAVE A BMW M3 TURBO WITH 786 RWHP AND 93 KG TORQUE.ITS MY SECOND LOVE AFTER HUSABERG.THE SAME RESULTS ON IT.IT HAS 5 YEARS AND 80000 KLM WITHOUT REBUID AND WITHOUT 100 GRAMS OIL LOSS BETWEEN OIL CHANGES.
