Hello Everyone, On the 4th of April 2007 Taffy wrote "John (Johnf3), if upgrading why not leapfrog the '05-'07 tank and upgrade to the new slimline (and radiator friendly!) tank?

Does anyone know if these tanks are available and if so, how much they cost and what the capacity is? Thanks, Brian.

I have been told very limited numbers in June, with full production in July.

The first tank is now located at the office of Husaberg Scandinavia. "It is lean, small and yellow" I was told. Will try to find the time to go have a look later this week (if they will let me see it...) :D

One quick small observation about the Alu one I bought...
If it is mounted onto a 650 the rear crank case ventilation will rub against the tank (the tank was apparently made for the 450 with a lower cylinder) and the rear vent hole is needed to be plugged.

still want to buy an alloy tank so when everyone goes plastic you know where i am for those silver shiny ones!!!

what a shame the MX bikes never had them years ago, after all, if they recind and make the tank NOW - why didn't they make it 7 years ago????

regards

Taffy

cheers fella but i'm looking at a used version. i'll wait - it's nay problem!

regards

Taffy

Slimline Tanks

Hello Everyone, Thanks for all your replies so far - those alloy tanks sure look trick but at 400 odd Euros, I would hate to think what one would cost me by the time I got one landed in Australia!

I reckon if an aftermarket company made a similar tank in yellow or opaque plastic for a reasonable price they would sell heaps of them!
