Hi guys, can anyone give me some Mods and tips to get my berg sounding more smooth, i know they noisey as it is but sound like its getting louder each time i go out. What would make a difference( cam chain- valves ?)
Thanks.

I just replaced my timing chain because it was so stretched that it was hitting the inside of the engine. With the left side cover off, I could see where it was hitting, starting to make a groove in the aluminum. This caused a noise above about 2000RPM or so.

Dump your oil often to make sure there's not too much metal coming out.

Thanks Ray. did the oil a week ago was allot of metal on the magnet, gonna do it again soon to see if there's any change.
what about the valves do they make a difference?

If you have excessive topend noise and metal on the magnet, check your cam followers NOW!!
Consider yourself lucky that the motor is giving you fair warning of a failure.

Replace the cam with a LX2 and fit dual valve springs, makes a big difference to performance also makes the engine noise a lot quieter. Speak to Taffy.

Regards

Sparks.
