G’day guys,

I need to get a bent motor shipped out of Norway to Australia. I don’t care if it takes weeks by boat as long as im not paying the quoted $1,000 by air companies.

Any ideas?

Cheers guys.

Al.

I used DHL for thumperracing Swe-US. Expensive but not $1000 (usd?). I don't think there are many options tbh as the slow boats are busy with containers. Norway has privatized the system so no slow and cheap government mail system anymore, sadly.

I payed 140 usd to ship my engine from swe to usa, 3 days delivery time.

This motor is in a Norwegian shipyard that has delivered them every year for the past 10 years. I have information that they are still in production and could be delivered in a week. However, I can't give you an exact price and don't know all the details. I can only assume that it will cost about 300 euros. As for shipping costs, at the moment it is the cheapest procedure that some companies can offer. You can get more information from local shipping companies DHL, DPD, GLS, Hermes. This is just a small list of companies I know.

Every dollar saved on shipping is another dollar to spend on exploring the beauty of Australia once your motor arrives safely on its shores.
