Severed Battery Terminal - '10 FE390

I went riding today. After the first stop, I hit the button to resume riding and nothing. I figured the leads were loose. The + terminal was cracked all the way through! I was able to just hold it on and start the bike. Evidently, the battery is not needed once the bike is running. I rode the whole time without problem. Has anyone else had a terminal shear off? My bike has 48 hours on it.

Yes, I did that on my 570 - but I put it down to having connected/disconnected the battery so often when I was first prepping the bike that I had deformed the terminals. When I dropped the bike, it was finally enough to put the bolt through the terminal.

A new battery fixed it!
