Hi,

I am new here. :)

I am searching how to check my current SEM ICU10 ignition coil. If it still functions properly before i order an replacement.
How can i do that?

ICU10 855 191 12
250290-01

And if it doesnt work anymore can i still get the original part or is there an good replacement on the market.

you can't check the coil alone as such.

9 times out of 10 it is the stator. there are a lot of stator failures on Husabergs of that era.

the values you're looking for from the stator are
green to black 165 ohms
red to black 2750-3,000 ohms.

it is usually the red to black that goes '0'.

cheers

Taffy

Hi,

i orderded a new SEM replacement (ST5410L). I did get it, so i wanted to replace the old stator.......

According to the fitting instructions i should pull the old stator by using a flywheel puller.
Is this a special tool? I did loosen the three screws which the old stator is mounted with and can't get it of.
Could i remove it without a puller?

Regards,
Sebastiaan

The Flywheel puller Is needed to pull the Flywheel... As the name states.
The stators do sit a bit tight after some years.
The best thing is to get yourself a flat headed screw driver and slowly and gently lever the stator out from the inside circle.
The stator has a little reinforcment there (metal ring).
Lever outside and you most likely destroy the windings.
