Hi All,
Got a brand new 2011 FE390 and I went to remove the spark plug for a look while preparing the bike and there's no way it's going to come out. Anyone got any ideas how to get it out ?

are you going anti-clockwise

.....or did you mean: "i haven't got the correct socket to do the job"?

:D :D

regards

Should be a spark plug spanner in tool kit supplied with bike

I think that might have been the problem !
I don't think the plug was tight as such, but using the sparkplug spanner supplied in the toolkit and the 13mm open ender in the toolkit on the end of it, the 13mm hex section of the plug spanner rounded off. I tried a 13mm ring spanner and same thing. I used a 1/2inch ring spanner and finally got the plug out. The plug spanner in the toolkit seems to be poor quality which is disappointing considering all the KTM's I've had in the past came with good quality tools. :cuss:

"its a poor mechanic that blames his tools" as they say!
