02 fe400e...when i hit the gas, it stutters REAL hard and or dies...i cant figure this crap out!

i took the boots off the carb, and pulled the carb out too and didnt see anything blocking any of those places, i did the valves (although im not sure how well...), and i cleaned out the air filter as well as a new spark plug....WHAT could the issue be!??!?!????!?!

Did you disassemble the carb and clean it really well. Take the time to blow carb cleaner and compressed air through all the jets and air passages.

It just barely stuttered a little bit before, but only at idle...then it didnt start one morning so i adjusted the valves...now im here...all i changed was a new tappet...which to my understanding should make this happen??

It's not likely you had a hard mechanical failure from sitting in the garage. Thats why I keep saying to check the carb. All it takes is a little dirt,oil or water in it and you can have these symtoms. Did you wash the bike before you put it away? You may have water in the ignition as well if you did.

i took the jets out of the carb and dissasembled the float area, washed em out really well...RUNS LIKE A CHARM!
