Just got back from a bit of mud plugging and have an oil leak from the left hand side of my rocker cover. On removal of this there seems to be an absence of any form of gasket !!!.Is this the norm and if so what now ?????Oh yes I have a03 FE400E....ANYONE

I also have an '03 400 which has gaskets and I have never had leaking at the covers. Have not even had to change the gaskets after multiple valve adjustments. I suggest installing OEM gaskets.

Cheers, Ryan

are we talking about the rocker cover or the valve inspection covers here

FE400E Rocker gasket

Just to say its not the valve inspection covers that are leaking ,they have gaskets its the actual cover they attach to........

There is a fix for that in the "DOC" it is a common issue if you don't get the right type or the right amount of sealant on the surfaces.
