I run a 2003 FE501 with a 650 engine fitter. Would it be wise of me to fit a rev counter and if so which type. My speedo is a tech trail 11 which does not have one integrated into it.

I understand what you are saying I'm the same in that respect. My riding is done on the roads with friends thar have sports bikes and as you can appreciate they take a little keeping with and the last thing I want to do is break something. It was just food for thought I wanted to know if anyone else had had any issues with over reving

Hi Clive, I've tried various rev counters on my 'mono track bike, Scitsu, Smiths but the best for your bike would probably be the Vapor by Trailtech. Small and light, speed and temp gauge and can run off a 9v battery.:)

I have one of these probably about 5 years old now so
there may newer ones available now.
Only has one wire that you coil around the spark plug lead.
