I saw a topic few months back about this issue but cant find it now.
How can i remove the tank from my 09 Berg without destroying anything, and yes the bike has a cooling fan?
I did it last week and used a lot of ''Man power'' but is not happy with that

I loosen the radiator and undo the hose at the top clamp and move it away carefully a few cm's whilst removing the tank so I don't drop coolant.

fizz

If you take the top mounts that attach the subframe to the frame (black plastic rails) and loosen the lower subframe bolts you can rotate the subframe to the rear of the bike and that alows you to remove the tank without removing the radiators, I have BPD radiator gaurds on my bike and doing it this way is alot easier :D

+2.
After trying *lots* of creative ways ... I just gave up and loosen the subframe and let it pivot and dangle slightly.
That gives just enough room to slide the gas tank past the radiator fan.

good luck, homie! E-Ticket

Thanks for this. Ten years later and you've helped me out of a right old bind getting my tank off.
