Got a kit for my 2012 TE250 today. Installed everything per the directions and it's not working correctly.

I have one of the newer kits with the replacement slave cylinder that has an adjustment bolt on it. The problem is, the adjustment bolt never encounters any resistance until it bottoms out.

What this ends up meaning is that the clutch never releases.

Is my slave defective?

I've bled it twice, there's no air in it, i've bled the clutch 3x, there's no air there either (although even if there was, I think it would only effect when i try to override the clutch manually).

What do you guys think? Those of you that have installed this kit, did you have to use any spacers on the clutch side? How many plates did you leave in?

I got a somewhat fix this morning. I looked at the most up to date instructions on the rekluse site and they have a note on that version to use a spacer if you're on a ktm 250-300. That note is not found on the instructions shipped with the product (which are an older revision).

I put in that spacer and it's better, except that im completely bottomed out on the slave adjustment in order to make it work correctly. Perhaps I need a thicker spacer, or perhaps there is an issue with my slave.

It would seem the spacer they sent me was a .75" spacer, when the new manual online calls for a 1.5. Looks like i'll just need recluse to send me the correct spacer and I should be all set.

Call them, there really good with phone support. I ordered my second z Pro from them today. The first one was 7 years ago.

Just as an update. I spoke with Rekluse, initially they told me I was using the right spacer and that the clutch just needed to wear in, this was over the phone.

Then a couple days later someone responded to the emails I had sent over the weekend and after a bit of back and forth, they sent me the correct 1.5" spacer. I'm going to install that over the weekend and I should be good to go.

Opened the package from Rekluse today to find a bag with the correct part number on it (414-141 1.5" spacer), but inside waiting for me was another .75" spacer. I had the same thing happen to me inside my Kit (6036). Someone at Rekluse is doing a very lousy job and putting the correct labels on parts.

And the saga continues -

Today I received another replacement spacer. I was assured that this one was measured and the problem had been addressed. NOPE. I received another .75mm spacer today. IM RAGING. Why is this so hard?

Measuring the replacement I got last week -

Today's spacer next to last week's spacer -

Am I overreacting? I bought my kit almost a month ago now.

Your not over reacting.
This is exceptionally bad customer service, I would have been flippin out well before now

Unless my math is particularly bad - if you put two 0.75 spacers together, you'll end up with 1.5.

Did anyone think of trying that?

Yes of course. However, that's not how this was intended to be installed and for me is not a solution to the problem. I'd like the correct part.

Ok - looks like rekluse screwed up, but so did i!

The original part included in my kit, and the instructions were bad.

The replacements however, both of them, are the correct size, but my calipers were not calibrated. So, screw up on both sides but everything is good.

I would not hesitate to order a kit from them, just make sure to download the most recent instructions from the site in case the ones in the box are old.

Glad things are right now, cause these guy's have just been awsome to work with.
Oh & how cool is the new core exp A?

Thanks for pointing out that there is a new manual. :D

Is it difficult to install the Rekluse Core EXP 2.0 on the Husaberg FE 450 2009 mod?
I have purchased the Core EXP and the Rekluse breake kit.

Leo, how does the rekluse slave compare to the stock slave cylinder mechanically? Can the rekluse be used as a replacement for the crappy stocker? Same dimensions?

Valid question and I have no idea. What problems do you have with your stock slave?

Based on my experience in installing the Core EXP in my 2011 FE570 - not difficult at all. Read the instructions. Twice. Then dive in. The hardest part is understanding and then doing the adjustment. Search YouTube - there's several videos about setting up the adjustment and the clutch free play.

It's a good idea to make sure your fuel tank is not too full as in order to install the Core EXP you'll have the bike lying on it's left side. If your doing their adjustable clutch slave too, life will be a little easier as you won't have to deal with removing the clutch cover again once the Core EXP is installed.

Can't tell the difference - that's the beauty of it. It's a little tight on space to bleed the Rekluse slave, but once that's done, you're golden.

It leaked like they are known for doing. There is no rebuild kit available for them so you have to buy a new one. I upgraded to a Sigutech cylinder from KTMTwins.com. It uses standard O-rings and they are available as separate parts. But it's expensive (almost $200) so the Rekluse one seems like it would be a more affordably priced option.
