hey i have a 2010 FE390 (US version) and i was wondering how do you read the codes on the bike, and if their are any to read. my bike has been sitting for a few months and i drained the gas and filled it back up with fresh 91 and lucas injector cleaner and it ran bitchin for about 5-7minutes then it started sputtering and i immediatly pulled in the clutch and the bike died. any ideas?
thanks in advance -matt

the only codes I've seen are from the FI light flashing a certain number of times to give you the code. The key to the code is in the owner's manual.

Can u here the fuel pump running when u hit the start button? How many hours? If you have an active code the light will flash long and short blinks if the injector is plugged or the pump is dead there will be no code bump the estate button and u should here the fuel pump run for a second or so if not it's pry dead

I noticed that on my bike when I turn the key on, with the red power switch OFF, i get the FI light flashing fast and steady...no pattern, no long flashes...it just blinks fast. When I turn the power switch ON, the pump turns on and then the light goes out. It starts and runs fine. Is this normal? I don't know when this started or if it always did this but just recently noticed it. Do i have a gremlin? what's the code for unlucky?

hey thanks for the replys. i think i might have narrowed it down to my fuel pump. the #2 fuse was blown and i put one of the reserve fuses in and it immediately blew the fuse. looks like im gonna be shopping for a fuel pump?

Fuel Injection warning lamp flashes

4x long, 5x short = Lambda sensor heater circuit
9x short = Manifold absolute pressure sensor
1x long, 3x short = Intake air temperature
1x long, 2x short = Engine coolant temperature sensor
6x short = Throttle position sensor
1x long, 7x short = Lambda sensor
3x long, 3x short = Injector
2x short = Crankshaft position sensor
3x long, 7x short = Ignition coil
1x long, 5x short = Rollover sensor
4x long, 1x short = Fuel pump relay

Alright I found the real problem. When I was putting the fuel tank back on after draining the gas, the fuel pulp wires got pushed over to the mid pipe heat shield that melted the wire insulators and shorted the wires thus popping the #2 fuse. So I'm gonna splice the wiring back together and get to riding! Thanks for all the input
