I beleive the size of the hose is 19mm or 3/4" at least from what i from what i have read in the forums all the radiators are the same from 89-08, the only difference is some are equipt with the thermostat or cooling fan switch thermostat threads or something i never paid attention to that part because mine doesnt have it either,

i was also interested in installing an inline thermostat, i live in a area that the temperatures vary drastically through out the year and my riding styles vary drastically also.

does anyone know what the best/easiest/cheapest ways to install thermostat are or who make an inline thermostat??

maybe i am just blind i did not see any in line thermostats in the trailtech catalog or maybe you are talking about a inline coolant temp sensor? or maybe i am just blind

I have a 2010 FE450, I wanted to install a trail-tech TTO ( temp. unit only) the ID of the hose on my bike is 19mm, I actually took the hose off and used a mic. to check it before ordering. Good luck, Joe

I went the easy route and ordered a new radiator with the fittng for the thermostat

Thanks for the help

I have tried looking around and apparently that is also my option for a thermostat, purchase a radiator that comes with one? in the owners doc lineaweaver recomends part number 800.35.013.044 for inline unit? which i assume is just that and would not require a radiator just a husaberg dealer to get one??? unfamiliar part number,i gather husaberg factory??, i also remember seeing a picture on thread about the breather mod that i remember thinking "that looks like a inline thermostat (even though not related to that thread was in picture)?" and then later thought "why dont i have a thermostat?" picture possibly posted by husabutt? husawhat? or husasomethingorother? maybe the factory inline option for new berg is best or a new radiator and a thermostat is best?

am riding a 1997 fe600e like a supermotor that loves dirt and deep water in a climate that cant decide weather it likes to be hot, cold, wet or dry

speaking of breather mod, on an older bike like this with a reed valve and no "2nd ole"? should i fit a check valve or just the open pipe method?

sorry for all the questions especially the off topic ones, any ideas/opinions appreciated, if not guess ill learn the hard way like usual...

thanks

will be ordering a ktm inline thermostat housing off ebay and adding a thermostat bypass tube into it like the thermo-bob thermostat kit for the klr 650, if having over/underheating issues or if your just particualr about your machines like me and would like for your engine to run as consistant engine temp as possible this may be better than just a t-stat by itself, the newer bergs may be set up like this already?

that was nice of them to show an animated flow diagram so you can borrow their design easier!

this style cooling system has been used on cars for 60 years and promotes engine longevity/fuel economy/reliable tuneability definatly the route i am going to try
