09 450 berg,

been running like a honey for ages since i had the plug cap problem...

2 weeks ago i had a big off, end over end at around 30mph, smashed quite a few bits on the bike, have since replaced them, i had the tank off to replace the throttle cables but then today a new problem raised its head...

when cold all was good, got warm and then it keeps cutting out, only running for a minute at a time and taking forever to start again.

i have a feeling its burning the fuel in the line from the tank and then stopping, as the tickover picks up right before it drops out.

any idea what this is?

pump is pumping if you stab the starter but cant hear if its still running when the bikes running.

cheers

UPDATE-

when it cuts out if you stab the button straight away it'll do a higher pitched whine of the pump for 4/5 times and then you can hear on number 6 a noticeable change in the sound as hear its actually pulling fuel and then the bike fires up?

inspect your fuel pump, it may have come out of its housing or kinked or blown a line. may have to be re primed if running dry....

I've got the pump out and have submerged it, put 12v to it and it seems to pulse intermitantly.
It will pump constantly for a time but if you bring the outlet pipe at any angle than downwards into the fuel it seems to get weak and start pulsing?
Should it be doing this?

Everything else seems fine in the tank, I've borrowed a friends tank and now the bikes running sweet as a nut!

Reprimed? I don't understand that. The bikes are shipped dry. The dealer puts a gallon of fuel in the tank, and the bike fires. I don't understand how gravity doesn't prime the fuel pump.
