Hi there, I'm a new member and rather new to Husabergs too. I took over a 10 year project, almost completed from a friend who couldn't find time himself. It's a MZ(or MuZ as the name was at that time) Scorpio Sport with a Husaberg 600cc engine. All parts from about 1997/98 and has only rolled 300km. I've just completed a new electric harness and started the bike for the first time last weekend. What a sound and what a bike to ride! It's very light for being a "modern" sportsbike and the engine is so powerful, racingtuned as it is. The combination of light and nice cycleparts from one make and an tuned engine from another make is classic Caferacer tradition. Names like Tribsa, Triton, Norvin etc comes to mind. It lifts the frontwheel on first and second gear just by twisting gasgrip without fiddeling the clutch. But with the original legal silencer from MZ supposed to work in companionship with Yamaha 660cc single the Dellorto PHM zs delivers too fat a mixture. Have to change some jets and probably lower the float level cause it spill some through the ventilation hose. Hope I can join in on this splendid site even if my bike is more On road than Off road. Anybody else tried using Husaberg engine in road chassi?

Thank you very much and what a nice bike this Dr C have. Very inspiring but in another class than my street bike I think. My bike is about 60 kilograms heavier and will never be competive on a race track. But it will be fine around the backroads where I live and good for irritating drivers of bigger sports bikes. Drive safe Hans

Thanx for the welcome Wales. Very nice project you've got under way. My bike is of course no race bike, using MZ cycle parts, but frame is "open" like yours. My friend who started the building used part of a Husaberg frame. You can see pictures on Muzaberg gallery, I've just put them there. If you wish to compare...Dr C's bike is of course in another class-very impressing! I wish you luck with the project, it should be light and fast. Myself I'm trying to detune the engine for the moment using a small Amal carburetter with special manifold with a very small hole but a very big airbox to make it pass legal road decibel levels. But I have also ordered different jets to make the big Dellorto perform at the best after passing decibel test.
