G'day all. Just wondering where all of the old girls have gone? Many guys on here still have an old one stashed away?
I'm feeling all nostalgic about having my old 96 400FE back, ******* of a thing it was, but it made me love Bergs and years later I am still drooling every time I see one. A bad addiction.

Any one else suffer the same?

Hi

I really don't miss my '96 FE501 as the newer ones are so much better. My '05 FE550 is a much nicer bike - motor, suspension, handling, and looks. Personally, I think the pre-'97s look kind of ugly. But then, when looking at pictures of my '96 taken when it was brand new, I get to thinking that it would be nice to have back in my shop....

My 98 still works great, is worth nothing to sell, so sits in the shed and gets a few kms every 3 months or so to keep it operational. I guess I have too many choices

I have a 92 that I plan on refreshing...given to me when the old owner gave up trying to put the top end back in it. I haven't even looked at that yet, however, the bike is still real clean and has some cool features to it...I was thingking about pulling it from storage and giving it a once over...check timing, etc.

Hi

The plastic of those bike looks kind of strange compared to the newer designs, but the rest are still very beautiful for me :)

Do you remenber how good those bikes wore compared to the other 4 strokes of that time, and if you compare things like weight of those bikes, after all these years they are the same as the new ones !
