hi guys im a new husaberg fe390 owner just picked my new toy on fri past having had jap bike for years
i got a set of ktm heated grips and got them fitted on sat but i seem to not get any heat from them but checking the power i am getting 14v when the bike is running and the power seems to be going to the grips as i put a probe into the cable going to the grip end but no heat does any one have an answer or have i got a faulty set i have tried them direct to the battery and still no heat ,how long does it take to heat from switch on ?
i have them wired to the horn and earthed to the frame via the rectifier bolt getting a circuit through this position ok
any ideas!
thanks

It may depend on the brand of grip heater. I have Enduro Engineering heaters underneath my standard grips. I put some large heat shrink tubing on the left side to insulate it from the handlebar. I can tell they are warming up within 10 seconds or so.

My wife's ATV has some heated grips - the heater is built in to the grip. They seem to take a long time to warm up.

Never seen ktm heated grips mate, can you show me a pic?i got some daytona grips s/h for my fe400 there is a switch on mine for start (that heats up in 10secs ish)then on switch that maintains the heat i had to wire them up in parralel to start then in series to maintainncan you get a mutimeater and see if theres any resitance through them there just a coil.
